More than 15,000 Minnesotans have Enrolled in Health Coverage in Six Days

ST. PAUL, Minn.— MNsure is providing an update on the 2017 open enrollment period. Within six days, more than 15,000 Minnesotans have enrolled in health coverage. This milestone took about six weeks to achieve during last year's open enrollment period.

Online

Since the start of open enrollment, we have seen:

  • 15,422 enrollments in health coverage completed (as of 10 a.m. today)
  • 1,364 MinnesotaCare eligibility determinations
  • 4,291 Medical Assistance eligibility determinations
  • 253,355 visits to MNsure.org
  • 57,342 sessions or visits on the comparison shopping tool
  • 5,063 page views on the Assisters page – demonstrating that Minnesotans are exploring those options
  • 15,475 accounts created
  • 16,660 applications completed

Contact Center

MNsure has extended the hours of our /help/contact-us/index.jspContact Center: Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Our Contact Center opened at 8 a.m. today, and these numbers are as of 10 a.m.

  • We have received 643 total calls to the Contact Center
  • The average wait time is 13 seconds
  • Contact Center staff continue to receive a lot of questions about password resets and general enrollment questions.

The 2017 open enrollment period began on November 1, 2016, and ends on January 31, 2017. Minnesotans eligible for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare can enroll year round. As of February 2016, 96 percent of Minnesotans have health coverage—the highest percentage in state history.
