3. Pick a Plan

Your Plan Results

When you get to the plan results screen you'll see all the plans available to you in your area. The plans returned here are based on which plans you are eligible to purchase and are available for purchase in the area in which you live. If you answered questions about what matters to you, like a deductible range or a wellness program, this will not narrow the list of plans. Your responses to these questions will help sort which plans are at the top of this list.

Click the "Sort By" menu to display the results in a different order. You can sort by deductible, monthly premium, metal level or by matching your preferences.

Compare Plans Side by Side

Choose up to three plans to compare side by side. Click on the check box to the left of each plan and then click on the green “Compare Plans” button at the top of the screen.

Be sure to review closely any information about the plan’s provider network, prescription drug list, maximum out-of-pocket costs, coinsurance, deductible and the summary of benefits and coverage (SBC). The SBC is particularly helpful in comparing plans side by side.

Select a Plan

Pick the plan you want by clicking the “Select this Plan” button.

If you want to add stand-alone dental plan, click the "Shop for a Dental Plan" button. Some medical plans include dental coverage, so you should read the full benefit summary for the plan you have chosen.

The amount shown after "Your Cost" and "Total Cost" is your monthly premium after all applicable tax credits are applied.

The monthly premium shown is the amount after the maximum advanced premium tax credit is applied, if applicable. The premium will be higher if you decide not to apply all or some of the credit. At a later point in the enrollment process, you may choose to apply some or none of the credit, resulting in a higher premium. The default setting is 100% of credit applied to the monthly premium. You may want to specify a lesser amount if you think your circumstances will change during the year.

If you have questions about the impact of advanced premium tax credits on your taxes, consult a tax specialist.

Next, you'll enroll in your chosen plan.
