Federal Funding Opportunity for Eligible Minnesota Community Health Centers

On May 9, 2013, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced a White House national funding initiative to provide $150 million in federal supplemental funding to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Health Center Outreach and Enrollment Assistance supplemental funds will be used by FQHCs to increase insurance options awareness and provide eligibility and enrollment assistance at a local level throughout the U.S.

In Minnesota, an estimated 16 grants will be awarded totaling $1,620,399 to be disbursed. Please follow the link below to learn if your health center is eligible to apply and receive funding. MNsure, Minnesota's health insurance marketplace, anticipates collaborating on outreach-education and enrollment activity with Minnesota FQHCs who receive this supplemental funding-specifically, MNsure anticipates working closely with FQHCs to ensure the required training is made available to FQHCs receiving this supplemental funding.
