ST. PAUL, Minn. - Today, MNsure announced the launch of "20 Days, 20 Stories" to highlight the success Minnesotans have experienced in purchasing comprehensive, affordable health insurance coverage, and to reinforce the end of open enrollment on March 31.

"All across the state, we are hearing from folks who are finding better, more affordable health insurance policies on MNsure," said interim CEO Scott Leitz. "Many of these people are getting coverage for the first time, and we think it is important to highlight the success that more than 115,000 Minnesotans have experienced so far in enrolling through MNsure."

In addition to sharing stories, the campaign is aimed at reminding Minnesotans about the upcoming March 31 enrollment deadline. This is the last day you can purchase health insurance inside or outside of MNsure until the next open enrollment period begins on November 15, 2014, without facing a potential tax penalty. Enrollment in Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare and the Small Business Health Option Program (SHOP) run year-round.

"The March 31 deadline is less than three weeks away. We want to make sure every Minnesotan that wants health insurance gets it before that deadline," said Leitz.

"20 Days, 20 Stories" will kick off with Mark Hurley, a husband and father of three living in Excelsior. Mark purchased health insurance on the open market for years, because it is not offered through his employment. Mark's old plan had very little coverage and carried a $12,000/year deductible. Through MNsure, Mark was able to find a plan with cheaper premiums and a $2,000/year deductible. Mark's children also now have free preventive dental coverage as part of his new MNsure plan.

"This is a game changer for middle class families," said Mark. "This will save my family thousands of dollars when it comes to medical expenses this year."

"20 Days, 20 Stories" can be found on the MNsure website.
