ST. PAUL, Minn.-During one of the final weekends of the 2016 open enrollment period, MNsure broker enrollment centers statewide will host special weekend hours on Saturday, January 23, and Sunday, January 24, in an effort to help any Minnesotans who have not yet enrolled in health insurance coverage.

"Our broker enrollment centers provide expert help to Minnesotans who need help getting coverage," said CEO Allison O'Toole. "This free, in-person enrollment help can be critical, especially when Minnesotans have questions about what kind of coverage they should be purchasing for themselves or their family."

The MNsure broker enrollment centers participating in this weekend's event include:

  • AdvisorNet Financial, Austin
  • Alexander and Haberman Agency, LLC, Bloomington
  • American Senior Benefits, Maple Grove
  • Benes Insurance Services, Duluth
  • Breitenfeldt Group, Waite Park
  • Crosstown Insurance, New Hope
  • Health Insurance Services, Inc., Willmar
  • Individual and Corporate Needs Agency, Inc., Roseville
  • Jenifer Ivanca Insurance, Chisholm
  • LeClair Group, Woodbury
  • Nyquist Fantastic Alliance/NFA, Bloomington
  • RG Insurance, Baxter
  • United Prairie Insurance Agency, New Ulm and Mankato

Additional information and specific hours of operation for each broker enrollment center can be found by /help/find-assister/broker-enrollment-centers.jspcontacting the organization directly.

MNsure-certified brokers can assist with the MNsure application, advise on plan selection and help Minnesotans see if they qualify for any financial assistance, available only through MNsure.

"Our partners are a big reason why our private plan enrollment is increasing, and we thank them for their continued efforts in these final days of open enrollment," said O'Toole. "We want to make sure all Minnesotans take advantage of the financial and comparative benefits of MNsure before January 31. We do not want Minnesotans to leave money on the table."

The 2016 open enrollment period began November 1, 2015, and will end on January 31, 2016. Small group employers and Minnesotans eligible for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare can enroll year-round. As of May 2014, 95 percent of Minnesotans have health coverage--the highest percentage in state history.
