ST. PAUL, Minn.-Just five days remain in the 2015 open enrollment period. MNsure, together with its navigator and broker partners, is working to make sure anyone that still needs health insurance has access to free, in-person assistance if they need it. Between today, February 10, and the end of open enrollment, February 15, 195 enrollment opportunities are scheduled.

"We have really seen the number of people using free, in-person enrollment help increase during this open enrollment period," said CEO Scott Leitz. "For someone that has never enrolled in health insurance before, the process can be overwhelming and confusing. That's why MNsure provides this free, in-person service. We want people to use it."

The 195 individual enrollment opportunities are located statewide and range from events in local libraries, college campuses and coffee shops, to walk-in hours scheduled at broker offices. Some events do require an appointment or an RSVP. All enrollment opportunities can be found on the MNsure Event Calendar.

"There are just five days left to purchase health insurance for the remainder of 2015," said Leitz. "Don't let confusion keep you from getting the insurance coverage you need. Check out our enrollment calendar and attend an in-person event before it's too late."

Open enrollment for 2015 coverage began November 15, 2014, and ends February 15, 2015. Minnesotans eligible for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare can enroll year-round. As of May 2014, 95 percent of Minnesotans have health coverage-the highest percentage in state history.
