More than 13,000 Minnesotans have Enrolled in Health Coverage since the Start of Open Enrollment

ST. PAUL, Minn.— MNsure is providing an update on what we are seeing today. More than 13,000 Minnesotans have enrolled in health coverage since the start of open enrollment.

Online

Thousands of Minnesotans are using the MNsure website to compare plans, shop and enroll in coverage. 

Since the start of open enrollment, we have seen:

  • 13,040 enrollments in health coverage completed (as of 11 a.m. today)
  • 187,683 visits to MNsure.org
  • 43,298 sessions or visits on the comparison shopping tool
  • 4,027 page views on the Assisters page – demonstrating that Minnesotans are exploring those options
  • 12,121 accounts created
  • 13,701 applications completed

Contact Center

MNsure has extended the hours of our /help/contact-us/index.jspContact Center. 

  • Saturday, 11/5: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, 11/6: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Our Contact Center opened at 8 a.m. today, and these numbers are as of 11 a.m.

  • We have received 919 total calls to the Contact Center
  • The average wait time is 42 seconds
  • Contact Center staff continue to receive a lot of questions about password resets and general enrollment questions.

The 2017 open enrollment period began on November 1, 2016, and ends on January 31, 2017. Minnesotans eligible for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare can enroll year round. As of February 2016, 96 percent of Minnesotans have health coverage—the highest percentage in state history.
