    Income Level Guidelines for Financial Help

    The American Rescue Plan expands benefits available to Minnesotans through MNsure. See frequently asked questions.

    The table below shows what financial help you may qualify for depending on household size and income. (MNsure updates this table in July each year, when the federal poverty guidelines change and the Medical Assistance income levels are updated.)

    • The income limits for Medical Assistance are for coverage from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.
    • The income limits for MinnesotaCare are for 2022 coverage.
    • Premium tax credits for 2022 private health plans through MNsure can be estimated using our estimator tool. Under the American Rescue Plan, any household with income above 200% of the federal poverty guidelines may potentially qualify for a tax credit, but there is an income amount at which the tax credit will be $0.
