Effective July 1, 2019, all managed care organizations that offer a drug benefit for Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) members must use the Department of Human Services uniform preferred drug list. This list reduces the number of preferred drug lists in use from nine to one, making it easier for members, prescribers and pharmacists to understand what medications are covered for Medicaid and MinnesotaCare programs.
