Since we are outside of the open enrollment period, consumers who wish to enroll in a private health insurance plan through MNsure must be eligible for a special enrollment period (SEP). 

It is important to remember that failure to pay premiums and voluntary requests to close Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare or employer sponsored insurance will NOT result in SEP eligibility.
