With the help of Governor Walz’s recommendation and the legislatures approval, MNsure’s IT modernization project was fully funded! This project will improve Minnesotan’s experiences with accessing private and public health insurance. Benefits include:

• Preserving the existing “no wrong door” approach to accessing health insurance coverage
• Improved consumer experience with features like self-service
• Enhanced access for consumers with limited English proficiency
• Expanded assister portal capabilities

The governor and legislature also approved two additional MNsure initiatives:

• “Easy Enrollment” to help uninsured individuals connect with coverage by requesting help through their tax return
• Additional funding to expand public awareness of the Minnesota Insulin Safety Net Program
