Earlier this week, DHS began mailing the Pre-Renewal Notice (DHS-8269) (PDF) to MA enrollees scheduled for a July 2024 renewal who are age 65 or older, who are blind or have a disability (MA-ABD) or enrolled in Medicare Savings Programs. The notice tells enrollees that their assets will be counted for their upcoming renewal. The asset limit was waived for certain enrollees until their renewal conducted after the unwinding period. The temporary asset disregard will phase out beginning with the July renewal cohort.

The last pre-renewal notice for enrollees on Medical Assistance for Families with Children and Adults (MA-FCA) was mailed in March for the June 2024 renewal cohort. MA-FCA enrollees will no longer receive a pre-renewal notice.
