/help/find-assister/broker-enrollment-centers.jspBroker enrollment centers (BECs) are a crucial part of the statewide network of MNsure-certified assisters who help consumers apply and enroll in health insurance. MNsure aims to strengthen this network by increasing the total number of BECs and expanding into parts of the state that have been underrepresented previously.

Partnering with MNsure as a BEC is a win for the broker agency and a win for the local community. BECs provide walk-in enrollment sites where community members can get free help enrolling in qualified health plans available through MNsure. MNsure is the only place Minnesotans can access federal tax credits that lower the monthly cost of health insurance.

In addition to providing enrollment assistance for consumers, BECs also agree to invest in a collaborative marketing and outreach campaign with MNsure. In return, BECs receive specialized support from MNsure, including:

  • matching funds for the collaborative marketing campaign
  • consumer referrals on a regular basis throughout the year
  • featured listing on MNsure.org

Interested brokers can learn more about the Broker Enrollment Center Initiative on the MNsure website: /about-us/assister-program/funding-opportunities/index.jspAssister Funding Opportunities. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. Central time on July 5, 2023. Contracts are expected to run September 2023 – June 30, 2024.

MNsure is Minnesota's health insurance marketplace where individuals and families can shop, compare and choose health insurance coverage that meets their needs.
