To qualify for additional cost-sharing reductions (CSRs), American Indian consumers must be a member of a federally recognized tribe. The application includes a specific question regarding this status, and if the response is “no,” the client will not qualify for the additional cost-sharing reductions, regardless of their identification as American Indian.
