The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral argument on November 10 on a case that challenges the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). We appreciate that this may create uncertainty during open enrollment. You are encouraged to share the following information with concerned consumers:

The Affordable Care Act continues to be the law of the land. We do not expect to know the Supreme Court’s final decision until sometime in 2021. 

Minnesotans can enroll in coverage though MNsure for 2021 from November 1 until December 22, 2020. 

Minnesotans seeking extra assurances about being covered for 2021 can call their health insurance company to verify that coverage will be in place as long as premiums are paid on time.
