Reporting a Life Event Change (LEC)? Advise consumers to enroll in a plan for 2025 coverage and not wait for LECs to be processed. Waiting may cause a consumer to miss the deadline for a January 1 effectuation date. Once the life event is processed, the consumer’s eligibility for any financial assistance will be updated.

Household Terminating Coverage for 2025? If a consumer is terminating their coverage for 2025, complete the termination online and wait to call until after December 18 to close the application. 

Qualifying for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP)? Consumers who qualify for a SEP (such as losing public program coverage or loss of employer sponsored insurance) have until December 31 to enroll in a plan with a January 1 effectuation date. Consider waiting until after December 18 if you need to call to complete this process.
