Navigator Tip of the Week: Initial Set-up of a MN-EES Assister Account
7/24/2026 1:29:56 PM
When setting up your MN-EES account, you will need to download a multi-factor authentication (MFA) application, such as those offered by Microsoft or Google before beginning the process. When you reach the QR code screen, the QR code must be scanned using the MFA application you have installed. Simply using your phone's camera will not work, as it will not properly set up your MFA and it will prevent you from being able to log in the next time. Many users mistakenly rely on their camera, leaving them without a functional MFA and unable to receive further codes. Please note: Consumers do not have an MFA requirement in MN-EES.
