In an effort to provide assisters with more information when a consumer is not present, MNsure released a new /assister-central/navigator-one-stop/policy-procedures/information-sharing.jspInformation Sharing Policy in early July. The ARC is now able to share more data with assisters, but will ask assisters to confirm their first and last name, in addition to their Assister ID.

In response to assister concerns about sharing their last name in the presence of a consumer, MNsure has modified the policy. If a consumer is present and an assister does not feel comfortable sharing their full last name, the assister can provide their last initial and their organization name to verify their identity.

Assisters are also required to provide the ARC with three pieces of identifying information for the client they are inquiring about. Some examples of acceptable PII include:

• First and Last Name
• Date of Birth
• Residential Address
• Email Address
• Last four digits of Social Security number – In order to safeguard consumer information, the ARC asks that you not provide them with the consumer’s full SSN.
