Shared secret changing to PIN: When creating an account on MNsure.org one of the optional fields is labeled “Shared Secret.” Effective October 20, the name of the field is being changed to “PIN,” which will allow any 6-digit number to be entered. This will not change any existing shared secret’s that are saved in accounts currently or how the identity verification process is completed. We hope the change to the name of the field will make this a more useful option for consumers looking to reset their password in the future.
Update Account Visibility: There will be a minor change to the account landing page starting on October 20. The “Update Your Account Information” link is being moved to a more prominent location. We are hoping this will encourage consumers to keep their account information (such as their email address and phone number) up to date to help with future password resets.
