Checking Enrollment Status

See the following scenarios for information on how to check the status of a consumer’s enrollment in a private medical or dental plan.

If associated with a consumer, follow these steps:

  • Log in to the Assister Portal
  • Click on the consumer you wish to check status on
  • Navigate to the Home screen by clicking the "Continue" button
  • Choose the "Go to your account" link to go to the Eligibility Home screen
  • Click the "View Next Year Eligibility Results" link
  • Click "Enroll in Plans" button to open the enrollment dashboard
  • On the dashboard, scroll down to "Your Medical Plans" or "Your Dental Plans" and you will see the status of the enrollment next to the plan:
    • Complete or Enrolled: means the consumer is enrolled in the plan and no further action is needed. MNsure has received the premium payment confirmation from the insurance company.
    • Pending: means the consumer is enrolled in the plan but has not paid the first month's premium to the insurance company or MNsure has not yet received confirmation of the payment. If payment has been sent and you see the pending status, the consumer will want to call the insurance company to verify payment was received.

If not associated with the consumer, then one of the following options should be followed:

  • Have the consumer use the /help/find-assister/manage-assister.jspManage My Assister through their account to set up an association with you. This will link your assister portal account and the consumer’s account, and you will be able to access the consumer’s account through your assister portal account.
    • Follow the steps above after the association has been set up.
  • Submit a Case Status Request to navigators@mnsure.org (navigators/CACs) or brokers@mnsure.org (brokers).
