MNsure has improved the process for tax filers to update their consent for MNsure to view their federal tax information (FTI). The new FTI Access Support Tool (FAST) will eliminate the need for consumers to mail a paper FTI form.
Assisters cannot complete the online FTI authorization for consumers, but they can contact the ARC to request access to the online FTI authorization form (FAST) for the consumer. This call can be made with or without the consumer present, but the tax filer must complete the online FTI authorization form themselves.
When an assister contacts the ARC, the representative will enable access to FAST by entering the tax filer’s first name, last name, date of birth, address and case number (IC) into FAST. The assister will then direct the consumer to the FTI online authorization tool where the consumer will enter the tax filer’s information and update their FTI authorization.
Please remember, ONLY the tax filer can authorize access to their FTI.
The paper FTI form is still available for consumers that prefer the paper option.
