Individuals losing MA or MinnesotaCare coverage that were enrolled under the continuous coverage rules during the pandemic qualify for an enhanced SEP opportunity.

• Consumers eligible for this SEP have a 90-day SEP window (instead of standard 60 days) before and after the last day of MA or MinnesotaCare coverage.
• If they select a plan during the first 60 days of the SEP, they will have the option of a retroactive start date back to the first of the month of when they lost coverage.
• Consumers who miss the 90-day window may qualify for an additional 30-day SEP. Brokers should contact the Broker Service Line and navigators and CACs should contact the ARC when working with a consumer in this situation.
