Reporting Seasonal Income

5/9/2024 11:30:16 AM

If an applicant is seasonally employed, they should report the income they expect to receive in the next 12 months.  They should also report any unemployment benefits they expect to get for the next 12 months.

Total seasonal income and unemployment for the current calendar year should be included in their projected annual income.

If an applicant is seasonally employed for the first time, or just working at a job they expect will end at some point, they should report their current income, based on their actual paychecks, and then they report a change when this job ends.

Their projected annual income should reflect their best estimate for the calendar year based on what they know now.

For more information see the MHCP Eligibility Policy Manual at  Medical Assistance for Families with Children Income Methodology.
