When requesting a MNsure account for a consumer, it is important to complete all possible fields such as phone number, email, and address. The more personal identifiers listed on the account, the easier it is to verify the information in the future and prevent delays.
The consumer’s email address is also tied to the self-service password reset process, so it is important that the email is accurate and belongs to the consumer and not the assister. To recover a username, the consumer will need to enter the email address they used to create their MNsure account. If the consumer does not have an email address on their account or if they cannot recall the email address that was used to create their account, they will not be able to recover their account through self-service.
