Identifying Qualifying Events for Special Enrollment: Before calling the ARC to ask about a special enrollment, the first thing an assister should do with their client is to complete the questionnaire in the client’s account. The only exception to this would be if is the consumer has a paper application. In that case, make sure to upload required verification documentation of the qualifying event. Generally, verifications are not required for most loss of public program cases. The ARC will verify the attestation against the submitted documentation. We cannot determine qualifying events for special enrollment. It is crucial for your client to accurately report the date they lost their coverage, which may require reaching out to another agency if they are unsure of the date. Keep in mind that most public programs conclude at the end of the month.
