Navigator Tip of the Week: Calling the ARC

As a reminder the ARC has a /assister-central/navigator-one-stop/policy-procedures/arc-service-line-policy.jspservice policy that defines who we can speak with and limits what we can speak about.

Who can call:

  • Only certified assisters can call the ARC.
  • Only one assister can be on the call (we do not allow for "training" calls with two assisters; you will be asked to call back with one assister on the line).
  • Whoever is with you on the call or in person must be identified at the start of the call. Additional people should not enter the conversation after that, and if they do you may be asked to call back.

Situations where you should not call the ARC:

  • Assisters should not use the ARC line to call about their own case, a co-worker’s case, or a family member (if they are not the assister listed on the case). Instead, call the servicing agency
  • Assisters should not call with a member that isn’t on the case in question. The consumer being called about should be the consumer that the assister gives three identifiers for.
