The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has released a bulletin which provides guidance and clarifies the use of electronic signatures on Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP) eligibility applications, renewals and other eligibility forms. The policy provides an alternative to the traditional handwritten signature on these paper forms, which can be a barrier to eligibility and enrollment. Please see /assets/Bulletin%2020-21-09-10-5-DHSClarifiesUseofElectronicSignaturesforMinnesotaHealthCareProgramsEligibilityForms_tcm34-449672.docxbulletin (#20-21-09) for complete details about this policy.
DHS also released a bulletin announcing Updates to Temporary Policies for Minnesota Health Care Programs during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (#20-21-10). The bulletin lists additional changes in circumstances requiring action during the public health emergency.
