ST. PAUL, Minn.-As the 2015 MNsure open enrollment deadline of February 15 draws closer, the organization is providing extended contact center hours for those that may have last minute enrollment questions.
"February 15 is the last day to enroll in coverage for this year," said CEO Scott Leitz. "There will be no extensions, so please do not wait until the last minute to enroll. Start the process now."
The MNsure Contact Center will be open Monday, February 9 - Friday, February 13, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Saturday, February 14, - Sunday, February 15, from 8 a.m. to midnight. The Contact Center will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of President's Day.
"I am extremely pleased that our Contact Center employees have been able to keep average call wait times below 60 seconds for the past several weeks," said Leitz. "By now, I think we all know that call volumes increase as deadlines get closer, and with that comes increased wait times. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, and Minnesotans calling us during these final days of open enrollment should expect to wait longer than a couple seconds to reach an agent."
Open enrollment for 2015 coverage began November 15, 2014, and ends February 15, 2015. Minnesotans eligible for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare can enroll year-round. As of May 2014, 95 percent of Minnesotans have health coverage-the highest percentage in state history.
