End Private Coverage

To end your private coverage through MNsure, call the MNsure Contact Center at 1-855-366-7873 or 651-539-2099.

IMPORTANT: Once you end private coverage through MNsure, you cannot re-enroll until the next annual open enrollment period (unless you qualify for a special enrollment period). 

When will my coverage end?

You can request to end your coverage or end coverage for a member of your household at any time. In most cases, your coverage will end at the end of the month in which you request to terminate. For example, if you call on May 14 and request to end your coverage, you remain covered through the month of May and coverage will end May 31.

We recommend contacting us on or before the 15th of the month in which you want the coverage to end to ensure we have time to process your request and also to inform your insurance company about the change to your enrollment. 

How do I confirm my insurance company will no longer bill me for coverage after I have requested that my coverage end?

If you have questions about your insurance premium payment or refund, please contact your insurance company. If you are set up with automatic payments through your insurance company you must contact your insurance company to stop any automatic payments.
