Before you sign in, please check that you have the following resources and understand the important messages about the application and enrollment process.
Avoid the Most Common System Errors
To avoid the most common errors, clear your browser cache and cookies before you sign in. This is easily done by pressing the Ctrl+Shift+Delete keys, or opening your browser settings. After clearing cache and cookies, close all your browser windows. Open a new browsing window to resume.
Use an up-to-date recommended browser (Firefox or Google Chrome) on a laptop or desktop computer. Do not use a tablet or smart phone.
Log in to Your Account
Do not create a new account each year. If you are renewing a private plan, use your user name and password to log in to your existing account. (Forgot your user name or password?)
You will not need to submit a new application, although you do need to report any changes to your household information.
If you are renewing your Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare, do not log in to your MNsure account. You will receive information from the Department of Human Services about renewal.
Please note that it takes 24 hours for your enrollment information to be logged into our system. Before calling our Contact Center with questions about your enrollment, please wait at least 24 hours after submitting your online enrollment. Find more enrollment tips here.
Make a Payment
Depending on your plan, either your insurance company or MinnesotaCare will bill you monthly. You must pay your first month’s premium for coverage to start. Medical Assistance enrollees do not pay monthly premiums.
