Preventive Care
Preventive care is routine health care. It helps you stay healthy and catch issues early.
Preventive care includes:
- Your annual physical
- Well-baby and well-child checks
- Vaccinations
- Diabetes screenings, blood pressure and cholesterol checks
- Mammograms and other cancer screenings
Your doctor may recommend specific preventive care based on your age or risk factors.
Preventive care is free when you get it from a doctor in your plan’s network. If you have specific questions about your plan, contact your insurance company.
Treating or diagnosing existing health conditions or symptoms is not preventive care.
