Loss of Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare
You may qualify for a special enrollment period (SEP) if:
- You lose Medical Assistance (MA), or
- You lose MinnesotaCare.
For example, you could lose MA or MinnesotaCare if your income goes up and you no longer meet the income limits.
You will not qualify for a SEP if you ask to end your MA or MinnesotaCare coverage (voluntarily).
TIP: To avoid a gap in your health care coverage, apply for this SEP during the 60 days before your last day of MA or Minnesota Care.
