MNsure Partners Encourage Minnesotans to Prepare for Open Enrollment during MNsure "Check Up Day” Events

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ST. PAUL, Minn.—MNsure partners state-wide are encouraging Minnesota residents to get prepared for open enrollment at a MNsure "Check Up Day" event next week.

The purpose of the events is to ensure Minnesotans are prepared for the upcoming open enrollment period, which begins November 1, 2017, and runs until January 14, 2018. MNsure “Check Up Day” attendees will be able to:

  • /new-customers/apply/account/index.jspCreate an account
  • /current-customers/manage-account/un-pw/index.jspReset their username and/or password
  • Update their current address
  • /current-customers/manage-account/report-change/index.jspReport life changes (A change in job, salary, or other income)
  • Get screened for eligibility and view available plans
  • Set up an appointment to submit an application or shop for coverage
  • Ask questions about open enrollment

No reservation necessary. Event details are below:

Currently, 65 percent of MNsure enrollees qualify for tax credits, with average savings for a household at over $7,000 per year. This year, an individual earning up to $48,240 a year, or a family of four earning up to $98,400 a year could qualify.

The 2018 open enrollment period begins November 1, 2017, and ends on January 14, 2018. Ninety-six percent of Minnesotans have health coverage—the highest percentage in state history. In plan year 2017, more than 500,000 Minnesotans have found health coverage through MNsure. Minnesotans eligible for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare can enroll year-round.
