FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ST. PAUL, Minn.—As Minnesotans look forward to fall and cooler temperatures ahead, it’s a great time to prepare for MNsure’s upcoming open enrollment period.

If you’re already enrolled in a private health plan through MNsure:

It’s important to keep your account up to date and let us know if any of your household information changes—like getting married, having a baby, moving to a new address, or changes to your income. Look for the full list of /current-customers/manage-account/report-change/private/index.jsplife event changes on the MNsure website.

“When you share your life news with MNsure, you help us process your health plan renewal faster and help us make sure we’re mailing important forms to the correct address,” said MNsure CEO Nate Clark. “When you keep us updated, we can make sure you know about any new plans that may be available for you, and the savings you may qualify for.”

One great example: Minnesotans who received unemployment income in 2021 can now find extremely low-cost health insurance through MNsure, including plans with a premium as low as $0 per month. But if you don’t report unemployment income, you could miss out on this opportunity to save hundreds of dollars each month.

Most people enrolled through MNsure are seeing increased savings this year thanks to the American Rescue Plan. Minnesotans with middle incomes – who didn’t qualify for tax credits previously – are saving $155 on monthly premiums, on average. Minnesotans who were already receiving tax credits are now saving even more.

If you don’t have health insurance currently:

Visit MNsure.org today to check out your options. You may not have to wait for the open enrollment period and could be eligible to enroll right now if:
