COVID-19 Diagnostic Testing and Treatment
Federal law requires all private health insurance plans sold through MNsure to waive cost-sharing for COVID-19 testing and the COVID-19 vaccine, and cover at home COVID-19 diagnostic tests authorized, cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Many plans are also temporarily waiving cost-sharing for in-network COVID hospitalization. Contact your insurance company directly for details about these benefits and what is available to you.
Minnesotans who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or who have potentially been exposed to the virus are encouraged to seek health care in a manner that minimizes the potential exposure of others, which might include first calling a provider or using telehealth services.
