MNsure today announced they have selected Grassroots Solutions and Clarity Coverdale Fury to develop and implement MNsure's 2014-2015 marketing campaign. The announcement follows two Requests for Proposals encompassing community outreach and advertising.
"I am excited to move forward with two locally-owned, highly creative and experienced Advertising and Outreach firms," said MNsure CEO Scott Leitz. "Our sole focus is to enroll Minnesotans into comprehensive, affordable health insurance. These two firms have the experience we need and a reputation beyond reproach working on issues of health care, behavior change, and social marketing."
The new marketing campaign will launch this fall and will include a traditional and innovative advertising campaign, a state-wide grassroots outreach campaign, and a public relations component that will unify both campaigns.
"We are thrilled to have been selected to partner with MNsure ahead of the fall open enrollment period," said Ann Wiesner, principal at Minneapolis-based Grassroots Solutions. "MNsure has already enrolled more than 300,000 individuals in affordable, comprehensive health coverage. Spreading the word about how more Minnesotans can obtain necessary health coverage is something we are very excited about."

The contract with Grassroots Solutions totals $1.2 million. The contract with Clarity Coverdale Fury totals $938,750.
Since the launch of MNsure, 300,085 Minnesotans have enrolled in quality, affordable coverage through MNsure. 180,566 are enrolled in Medical Assistance, 65,749 in MinnesotaCare and 53,770 in a Qualified Health Plan. Between September 30, 2013, and May 1, 2014, the number of uninsured Minnesotans fell by 40.6% to a record low. Open enrollment for 2015 coverage begins November 15, 2014.
