The MNsure Advisory Task Force has finalized its work plan and is no longer meeting. The Task Force provided guidance on issues related to the development of a marketplace/exchange for Minnesota. It consisted of 15 members representing a balance of interests, including consumers, employers, labor, health care providers, health insurers, Medical Assistance (Medicaid), agents and those with experience navigating health plan enrollment, agents/brokers and experts in public and private health care markets and public health improvement.
Federal law required Minnesota to file an application by November 16, 2012 to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), showing that Minnesota can or will meet the 12 requirements of how our exchange will operate. It was not necessary that Minnesota have all decisions on the exchange set in place at that time. Rather, the application documented which requirements Minnesota had achieved, and provided a plan and timeline for completing all remaining requirements.
