FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ST. PAUL, Minn.—On Thursday morning the MNsure Board of Directors announced the appointment of Nate Clark as chief executive officer (CEO). Clark has served as acting CEO since the departure of Allison O'Toole last April. Prior to being named CEO, Clark served as MNsure's chief operating officer (COO) and has been with the organization since July of 2015.
Over the past few weeks, members of the board had an opportunity to discuss the future of MNsure and the leadership needed to continue to move the organization forward.
“The entire board is impressed with Nate's broad administrative experience and leadership style,” said Phil Norrgard, Chair of the MNsure Board of Directors. “We are very pleased to make his appointment permanent. I have no doubt MNsure will continue to improve under his direction.”
Clark came to MNsure from a long career in the private sector, most recently as an executive at Thomson Reuters. As COO, he helped lead many of MNsure’s major improvement projects.
“It has been an honor to be a part of MNsure's transformation over the past few years,” said Clark. “We would not be where we are today without the dedicated team here at MNsure. I look forward to building on our successes as we work to ensure Minnesotans have access to quality healthcare.”
The 2019 open enrollment period begins November 1, 2018, and ends on January 13, 2019. Over 480,000 Minnesotans have accessed coverage through MNsure during the 2018 plan year. More information can be found at mnsure.org.
