FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ST. PAUL, Minn.—Final 2019 individual market health insurance rates were released today by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. While premiums are going down across much of Minnesota, MNsure still urges Minnesotans to shop, compare and save on their premiums using MNsure.org.

"Many Minnesotans and their families may be leaving money on the table and we encourage Minnesotans to visit MNsure.org," said MNsure CEO Nate Clark. “MNsure is the only place consumers can receive tax credits, and all plans available through MNsure offer comprehensive coverage that covers pre-existing conditions."

An individual earning up to $48,560 a year, or a family of four earning up to $100,400 a year, could qualify for federal tax credits. Additional /financial-help/income-guidelines/index.jspincome guidelines are available on the MNsure website. Examples of how MNsure can save consumers money can be found here.

Beginning October 15, Minnesotans can "window shop" available 2019 plans before the start of open enrollment.

BluePlus, HealthPartners, Medica and UCare, will offer 83 different health insurance plans through MNsure for the 2019 coverage year. Multiple qualified health plans through MNsure are available in every county across the state. All premium rate information will be available on the Minnesota Department of Commerce website beginning today.

MNsure's sixth /new-customers/enrollment-deadlines/open-enrollment/index.jspopen enrollment period runs November 1, 2018 to January 13, 2019, which is approximately a month longer than the federal open enrollment period.

Over 480,000 Minnesotans have accessed coverage through MNsure during the 2018 plan year. More information can be found at mnsure.org.
